Brockton Community Electricity is a program in development by the City to provide residents and businesses more electricity supply options and more renewable energy. The program is a City-vetted alternative to National Grid default supply and other third-party electricity suppliers.

Development Phase

Public Review Period and Public Hearing

The City prepared a Draft Plan for public review. The public review period starts from July 20, 2026 and shall end on August 20, 2026. The City shall hold a public hearing on August 24, 2026 during the City Council Meeting in the Council Chambers Room at City Hall, 45 School St, Brockton, MA 02301 at 7:00 p.m to receive comments on the plan. Additional information like links to virtual access shall be posted here.

Customers that receive solar electricity benefits from net metering credits, community shared solar or similar payments will continue to receive those benefits.
